Update from KDOT on the K-5 Bridge re-deck/repair project.
• KDOT’s contractor (Clarkson) is finishing the bridge deck removal on the NB K-5 side of the bridge this week.
• Clarkson will begin removing the bridge deck on the SB K-5 side of the bridge next week.
• Clarkson will begin installing forms and steel rebar on the NB K-5 side of the bridge next week.
• KDOT is still anticipating being on schedule for opening the bridge to unrestricted traffic by December 31, 2025.
