Together, FIA was able to provide gift bags to 200 children that participate in PAL of KCKS, desserts for 300 and a $3500 donation check to PAL!
PAL: Connecting Kids, Cops and Community
PAL, located in northeast Wyandotte County, programs pair youth with mentors. PAL provides children ages 8-18 with after-school programs, all at no cost. Their programs are designed to provide the social and community support they need to improve their health and well-being. Police officers and adult mentors help kids develop new skills and interests that help them build confidence and positive relationships in the community while steering clear of the influences of crime and gang violence. Their programs are working to improve the community.
