FIA Members: Please review the important update below regarding upcoming traffic and right-of-way restrictions associated with the 2026 FIFA World Cup activities across the region.
Andy Roddy, Right of Way Manager with the WYEDC, shared the following information:
Host cities across North America are implementing temporary construction moratoriums and permit restrictions to keep streets and rights-of-way fully operational during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Several cities have announced limitations on work affecting public streets and sidewalks to reduce congestion and improve pedestrian safety.
In alignment with these efforts, the Unified Government will be restricting non-emergency work within the Right of Way on Arterial and Collector Streets from June 1 through July 15.
Roadway classifications shown on the map are as follows:
• Major Collector Streets – Dark Blue
• Minor Collector Streets – Blue
• Major Arterial Streets – Green
• Minor Arterial Streets – Aqua

If your business has planned construction, utility work, or other activities that may impact the right of way during this period, please plan accordingly.
