As shared in our previous safety notice, FIA has been monitoring reports involving Cedric Gibson, who had previously been reported for entering Fairfax District businesses without permission.
According to KCKPD, Gibson again entered a Fairfax business on September 23 after being ordered to leave and allegedly stole an item from the business. Police took an aggravated burglary report and issued a felony pickup order that same day.
Gibson was located and arrested within 24 hours and is currently being held at the Wyandotte County Adult Detention Center.
We appreciate the quick response and follow up from KCKPD, particularly District Officer Daniel Sachen. Businesses should continue to remain aware of their surroundings and report suspicious activity to law enforcement.
