Concert on the Kaw Event
We’re excited to announce a new chapter for one of Fairfax’s favorite traditions! After a successful 10-year run, the Fairfax Festival is evolving into Concert on the Kaw.
Concert on the Kaw is a happy hour–inspired event at Kaw Point Park designed for everyone to relax, socialize, and enjoy live music, food, drinks, and friends. Each year will feature a different genre and theme.
This year, we’re bringing the spirit of New Orleans with the high-energy sounds of Slide SyndiKCate, Hurricanes as our signature drink, plus beer, wine, and NOLA-inspired food.

Featured Artist: The Slide SyndiKCate
Taking the center stage, The Slide SyndiKCate is a brass powerhouse, bringing the New Orleans funk to the heart of the Midwest. This brass band blends their deep love for NOLA (New Orleans Louisiana) with elements of rock, soul, fusion, pop and jazz to craft their unique sound.
