A public meeting for the Kaw River Bike and Pedestrian Bridge will be held 5:30pm to 7:30pm Thursday, June 22nd at Hale Arena at the American Royal 1701 American Royal Court.
A formal presentation will begin around 5:40pm followed by a Q&A time and tour of the bridge.
Please come help build a vision for this Historic Kansas River Bridge!
Getting there:
Bus Route 9 serves the area and is scheduled to arrive close to Kemper Arena at 5:29pm.
Bikers best access is via River Heritage Trail from KCK. There may be construction on the trail coming from the River Market. Avenida Cesar E Chavez to American Royal Drive or Beardsley Road/Forrester Road offer the best routes to the West Bottoms area.
Drivers: Free Parking in Lot B and on Genessee Street
From 670: Exit 1B on Genessee/Wyoming Street, go south on Genessee straight into arena area
From Southbound I-35 : Exit 1D – 20th Street, turn right on 20th, left on Summit, and right on Avenida Cesar E Chavez. Turn left onto American Royal Road ramp. Circle around arena and turn right on Genessee to enter arena complex.
From Northbound I-35: Exit 1C – SW Blvd/ W Pennway Street, turn left on Pennway, left on summit, and right onto Avenida Cesar E Chavez. Turn left onto American Royal Road ramp. Circle around arena and turn right on Genessee to enter arena complex.
