2019 Fairfax Festival: Thank you for making it a success!
This year’s Fairfax Festival took place on Thursday, October 3rd. Held at Kaw Point Park, the day was packed with live music, a beer and wine garden, a raffle, a Lawn Game Tournament and re-enactment of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Held at Kaw Point Park, the Fairfax Festival is a celebration of our businesses and community.
Commemorative Poster
This year, FIA unveiled new monument signage concepts for the Fairfax District which included the B-25 bomber plane. This signage will be at the main entrances to the district. FIA chose the B-25 to be included as it’s an iconic image of our rich history.
As part of this effort, we invited local artists to design this year’s commemorative poster. Taking the top spot was artist Kevin Horvath, as he created this poster which was featured at the festival. Kevin’s design incorporated key elements of the signage and he also won a $500 prize. Congrats, Kevin!
Festival attendees also received a gift bag, koozie and a commemorative poster.
