On March 11, 2021, we invited Dawn Hammatt, Director of the Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum, and Boyhood Home in Abilene, Kansas. Dawn gave us a closer look at the museum, highlighting key artifacts and history of Eisenhower’s legacy. FIA members learned quite a bit from this session as well as had an open Q&A with Dawn.
While the museum is currently closed, they have an extensive round of interactive virtual tours and you can learn more here. We encourage all FIA members to learn more about the extraordinary life and legacy of the only 5-star General who became President of the United States. You can also follow the museum on Facebook.
Here’s the video of this event:
Prior to Dawn’s presentation, Hailey Shoemaker from the Unified Government Public Health Department provided an update on the current pandemic and vaccination efforts. It can also be viewed in the recap video.
Special thanks to Dawn and Hailey and all FIA members who attended this event. We look forward to seeing you in one of the upcoming sessions featured in our calendar.
