Thank you to all those who attended the recent session with the KCKPD on the security camera program in our district. This was a great opportunity for businesses to learn more about a new program called FUSUS that will help stop crime in Fairfax as well as some other new technology being used!
Special thanks to Owens Corning for hosting this session.
How does FUSUS work?
KCKPD has a Real-Time Intelligence Crime Center (RTICC) that has personnel live monitoring security cameras all through Wyandotte County. Anyone with security cameras in Fairfax can allow the KCKPD access to these cameras. Each business can specify what cameras they want to allow access to and what they don’t. KCKPD really just needs access to outdoor cameras. If criminal activity is reported, they can immediately tap in to cameras they have access to in that area, find the suspect, track the suspect and direct patrol cars to the suspect for an immediate arrest.
How do you Sign-Up?
You can purchase a box that will connect your security cameras of your choosing to RTICC. KCKPD will install the boxes for free at your business.
Boxes are $600 for up to 25 cameras per business or $200 for up to 4 cameras per business. This is a one time purchase and you can follow this link to purchase: https://connectkck.org/shop/
Who can I contact to learn more about this program?
