Thank you for joining us for this month’s FIA luncheon as Joe Reardon, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and Melissa Miller, Director of the World Trade Center – Kansas City were our guest speakers.
They both shared highlights and updates of their organizations, as Joe Reardon gave us a sneak preview of their new campaign Keep the KC Region! This campaign is to make sure Kansas City leaders find the options needed to keep the Royals and the Chiefs in the Kansas City metro area whether it is on the Missouri or Kansas side. Not only does Kansas City love our Royals and Chiefs, they are also an huge economic resource as well as creates recognition of our city worldwide.
Kansas City leaders and residents need to make sure we are offering the best proposals possible to keep them both in Kansas City and not allow another city to offer packages that would lure either teams somewhere else. This happens all of the time. Please get educated on this and support new stadium home developments for both teams so they stay in the Kansas City metro area!
Melissa Miller provided an inside look at WTC-KC’s role in strengthening the region’s global connections, the impact of international trade on local industries, and key factors currently shaping the global marketplace. She also shared some events with the WTC-KC.
