Since its inception in 2004, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Protective Security Advisor (PSA) Program has been at the forefront of DHS efforts to protect critical infrastructure in the United States. As subject matter experts on critical infrastructure, PSAs provide unique expertise to state, local, tribal, and territorial officials and members private sector stakeholder community to assess the security and resilience of critical infrastructure, facilitate information sharing between critical infrastructure stakeholders and the DHS, convey local concerns to better inform DHS of partner needs, and support critical infrastructure response, recovery, and reconstitution efforts after a disaster.

Meet Chuck Clanahan
Mr. Clanahan serves as the Protective Security Advisor (PSA) for DHS Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Based in Topeka, KS, he supports the CISA’s mission of strengthening the security and resilience of the nation’s critical infrastructure. PSA Clanahan proactively engages with federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial government mission partners and members of the private sector stakeholder community to protect critical infrastructures. PSA Clanahan conducts security assessments and supports security planning, training, large-scale special events and exercises. Mr. Clanahan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Chaminade University. He is a graduate of the Federal Bureau Investigation National Academy (FBINA) and he holds the ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification.
