Meet Troy Shaw, Interim Director of Unified Government Public Works:
Troy Shaw holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering, both from the University of Kansas. He began his career as a Civil Engineer with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County in 2005, serving in that role until 2014. Troy then joined the City of Lawrence as a Civil Engineer from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, he returned to the Unified Government of Wyandotte County as the County Engineer, a position he has held since. In May 2024, Troy has also been serving as the Interim Director of Public Works.
Ryan Barrett holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University. He began his career as an Engineering Associate with KDOT in 2004, serving as an Engineering Associate until August 2006. In August 2006, Ryan left KDOT to pursue an opportunity with Howard R Green Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In 2010, Ryan came back to KDOT and has held various roles including Engineering Associate, Road Squad Leader, Road Design Leader, and Pavement Design Leader since becoming the Kansas City North Metro Engineer for KDOT in Bonner Springs in June, 2021.

Deasiray Bush will also share the new Northeast Microtransit Zone, which is scheduled for launch in February, 2025. Additionally, she will discuss how transportation services can be incorporated into new hire onboarding packages to further promote the benefits of their programs. See below.
